FREESTYLIN BOOK

Blame Mark Losey and Nike for me not getting any work done today. The Freestylin Book has finally arrived. I know we pushed this thing pretty hard in issue 65, but can you blame us? Before the world of BMX was media-saturated, we had magazines and the occasional VHS video. I would get my new issue of Freestylin’ once a month, read it cover to cover in a few hours and then have to wait a whole month more for another issue to arrive. Yeah, I felt information starved (in contrast to a lot of the time lately when I find that my brain simply isn’t trained for the information overload it’s fed), but I lived and breathed Freestylin’ Magazine as a young teen-ager. So it’s good to see a classic return for something I never thought would happen. Okay, time for me to ditch this weird thing called the Internet and do some good old fashioned reading. I have been waiting twenty years…
