QUICK TALK! #20 RUBEN ALCANTARA ORTIZ

I’ve started this Quick Talk! posts with the propose of showing to foreign riders some of the Portuguese ones, but I’m opening a few exceptions to this “rule”, with some friends/riders from other countries that somehow have a relationship with Portugal or portuguese riders. And the first one is: Ruben Alcantara Ortiz.
Ruben Alcantara is a name that everybody who is into BMX in the last couple of years recognizes. He is recognized in the World of BMX, as one of the most influencional riders of all times, isn’t just me who says that, it’s a fact, for everyone involved in some way in the world of BMX. The first time I’ve saw Ruben riding was long time ago in Badajoz, Spain, at the Spanish Freestyle Championship of 1990… http://digbmx.com/blog/paulo_martins/2-things-that-ive-found-in-my-paper-boxs ,and at that time he was just one more kid from Malaga riding his bike with passion, and today he is the same kid, but with 34, riding his bike with the same passion, what I’m trying to say here is that he may changed the way people ride and setup their bikes, be still remains the same, simple, and humble guy with that spark in his eyes when he’s riding his little kids bike with his friends...and some of them are from here, Portugal.
