RTP2 - PORTUGUESE NATIONAL TV
October 19, 2009 @ 11:41 AM - Paulo's Portugese
This past Saturday started on RTP2 (second channel of the portuguese national TV) a new program about the urban/street life activities. It’s called “Artes de Rua” - Street Arts. and its a documental series that pretends to show to the mass people some of the underrated “art” activities that happens in the city. Talks, life stories, from normal people with 9 to 5 jobs and different aproaches to life, art and the way to express themselves day by day. Thirteen episodes dedicated to Parkour, in-line, KayakeSurf, BTT, Skate, KiteSurf, BMX, Graffiti, Tattoos, Breakdance, Parapente, Hip Hop e Surf. Next 12 Saturdays, at 7 p.m. on RTP2
I was invited with my friend Filipe “Dwind” for the BMX doc. They interviewed me, filmed me at my working place; on work visiting some old wine cellars and riding, and shot a few photos (by Catarina Limão http://www.flickr.com/photos/catarinalimao/ ) (they did the same thing with Filipe). At the end they pretend to show to the people in general, that BMX isn’t just little kids riding bikes, and messing around doing shit, but also fathers with family responsabilities, Uni students, normal people that chooses a different instrument to express themselves, it’s all that, and more, it’s somehow a lifestyle/culture.
