Luc Legrand access rail wallride glasgow bmx FM

This block of high-rise flats was getting blown up within the upcoming few weeks so it was right up there on the list for a spot hunt. After some pleasantries with the security guards, this access gap wallride was on.

Intro and photos by Fred Murray

Luc is the kind of guy who is hard to define. In fact, i've met him a bunch of times now and I can't say I know a lot about him, apart from that he's got something pretty special going on. Not held back by the perpetual grasp of the Internet infatuated modern-day world and it's incessant appetite for communicating, usually invisibly, Luc prefers the complete opposite and lives a life that appears to be entirely fulfilling and above all, fun. We met up with the man himself while he was in Scotland last summer visiting his BSD teammates and managed to get a few sunny days riding, and ironically, through the power of the World-Wide Web, we later asked him these random as fuck questions...

What is your favourite thing to do on a Saturday night?

I live by the sea now and there is no nightlife around. So I prefer to be at home with my friends sharing a good meal and drinking rum to continue the fear and loathing until the sunrise.

Top 3 favourite foods?

Lasagna, Couscous, Curry.

Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, what can you touch?

A banana, between my camera and a mountain guide.

Best destination to take a date? How did the last one work out?

Always a pub; the last one was six years ago and she was the good one.

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?

An island to live in a community with all my friends, without laws, where everyone is smiling and all people are welcome.

When you were 15, what was your favourite BMX video?

'On The Down Low' and 'Ells Bells'.

Most trusted news source?

My eyes and my ears.

Luc Legrand gap feeble glasgow bmx FM

Literally around the corner from the access gap wallride, this gap feeble was narrow, scary and far from smooth. What you can't see in the photo is the super awkward hop directly before the stair set. Calm and collected as usual.

What happened in your last dream?

I always forget my dreams but it often happens in space or sea with lots of weird stuff happening.

When did you last laugh?

A surf session this morning with my best friend Mik. I saw him do the biggest whip out I've ever seen. It was so ridiculous.

Chemtrails - true or false?

I hope that it's false. Conspiracy theories are built to scare people and to increase the power of leaders.

How many languages can you speak?

Three: English, Spanish and French.

Which rider do you relate to the most?

Anto cause he lives in France, so it's easier to spend time together. And I love his artistic life. But on the last trip I had really good times with Reed, he is the man.

If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?

Lemmy Kilmister.

Favourite album?

Warsaw - Joy Division.

What's under your bed?

A dark chocolate bar...

If you could have any job, what would you want to do/be?

An airplane pilot.

How far away from your birthplace do you live now?

720km.
