I'd been keeping this one under wraps for a while now, but I got word that it's officially cool to spill the beans.
Beloe Footwear is a brand new shoe company making the jump into BMX in a very big way. Headed up by Brian Osborne, a veteran BMXer from the Louisville area, along with Russ Pope, a veteran skater/graphic artist from CA, Beloe is a cooperative effort to provide the BMX and skate world with shoes that offer smooth lines and versatility in all walks of life.
Osborne and Pope, who formerly collaborated over at DuFFS, started Beloe in an effort to create a line that consists of clean, fashionable footwear that are very action sports friendly. In the words of Osborne, Beloe's line is "Something you can go to the park in, or to the local bar to pick up chicks." The complete line of Beloe will consist of signature skate shoes, signature BMX shoes, artist collaborations from both industries, shirts, hats, hoodies, belts and more to come in the future.
Beloe's team, to begin with, consists of Jim Cielencki, Nathan Williams, Sean Sexton and Kevin Kiraly.
The line will be on display at Interbike next week, but Brian sent over a few sneak peeks for here. First up is the "X," a joint collaboration between Beloe and Jim Bauer. And secondly is the "Stitch," named for its baseball-like stitching. Obviously, there are a lot more colorways than below, so hold onto your horses or check http://www.beloefootwear.com in the coming weeks.
Beloe Footwear will be available in Spring of 2008. Best of luck with the endeavor boys!
