Nina Buitrago flowed me a copy of the latest issue of Emerald Nation zine a few weeks back, and I've been meaning to post up a link so that everyone can go out and buy what's quickly becoming a lost art form in the world of BMX.
Emerald Nation is the leading forum for independently aimed Women's BMX. Included in issue nine is news, a calendar of forthcoming events, rider profiles, comp write-ups, video reviews, rider columns, roadtrip stories, pictorials and assorted editorial from Nina and a select group of riders that isn't exclusive to women. The content is fresh, the opinions are varied and the overall vibe is consistently positive. I personally favor the subjective discussion on the recent Cream cover that featured a naked woman on a bed next to a Fly Bike. The dialogues ranges from "Ahh, they're French" to "That's what women do when they're alone?" Add Nina's altruistic editorial and you've got something that is well worth the small price of $6.
