This weekend in Hythe UK, the annual Pirate Jam went down, and 4Down / Fit represent and Hythe local Sam Greenaway was kind enough to write us a little summary of what went down… After reading, be sure to check out the video, made by Hythe local Phil Morgan...
“The second pirate jam went down in Hythe UK this weekend and good time was had by all! a nice sunny day in hythe skatepark, riders and skaters from all areas came to support the annual PIRATE JAM 08, known riders such as mark love (federal, primo, aversion) and all the local representatives had an awesome days riding, things kicked off with a real fun session at the skatepark including height and length comp out of an Argos kicker, Terry acres helped to set up a wooden version of this which he slammed on twice hard! After everyone got what they wanted done we all moved on to ride some street spots including portex, security tried to ruin everyone’s day but we jus carried on none the less, the argos kicker once again got put to good use on a large grass bank to make a makeshift quarter kind of thing which mad stuff went down on including a FLAIR! By mag. I managed to crash into a tree going backwards good times all round. was a treat to watch and everyone had a right laugh, one mad man attempted a pure death rail and took it but still had the balls to get up and do it again, he slammed so bad but he got a massive cheer from all the spectators, was a great day and if you don’t go to pirate jam 09 your pretty darn stupid. Cheers g sticks!” Sammy
