  • S&M BIKES TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY PARTY

  • Hard to believe that S&M Bikes has been steadily operating for 20 years now. It seems like only yesterday when I was drooling over Chris Moeller's bike in Life's A Beach ads from Freestylin' Magazine. But it's the truth, S&M have been in business for 20 years now, leading a rider-owned revolution that changed the face of BMX, from marketing to technology to simply believing in the power of a quality made U.S. frame.

To celebrate, S&M are pulling out all the stops, including a birthday bash on August 4, 2007. The party is happening at the S&M warehouse in Santa Ana, CA, and old school is the flavor of the day. I know that sounds like a Sublime song, so my apologies for that. I just mean that everyone attending is encouraged to bring old S&M everything, from frames to photos to videos, which will be used in an upcoming '20 Years of S&M Bikes' documentary video, which will hopefully premiere at Interbike later this year.

The party will feature live music, a BBQ, mud wrestling, roller derby, dirt jumps and a vintage S&M bike session going down at Sheep Hills somewhere in the middle of everything. Check out the attached flyer or log onto http://www.sandmbikes.com for more info.
