‘The Kids Issue’

Tyler Fernengel, Detroit.
When first spotting this massive fountain sculpture my first thought was how rad a photo would be of a barspin, maybe 10 feet up the slant (12 if we’re getting crazy). When I jokingly threw out dropping in down it, Tyler responded he didn’t think it was possible to get up there until the previous week when he saw a friend post an instagram photo from on top. Five minutes later Tyler was standing on the top, and made his mind up that we’re coming back to get the photo. Kids eh?

  1. Debra VanMarter

Hello, Tyler Fernengel is my grandson and I would like to purchase copies of the magazine with him on the cover but I have not been able to find the magazine. I live in the Detroit Michigan suburbs. 48101 zip code. Do you know where I can purchase or order? Thank you. Debra VanMarter

  2. Robbie

Debra, just an fyi from a fellow reader and rider, do you have a local Barnes & Noble. I’ve found they carry every month the issue, as well as they can orderany book or magazine, including available back issues. Or you can try Borders as well, or any other book/magazine store chain. I think Dig should give Tyler and his family a few free issues though. Good luck, and tell your grandson he did a great article with great pics.

Thanks for the info Robbie and I will pass on your compliments to Tyler. He had a nasty fall at Texas Toast but doing well considering he was unconscious. He has a fractured facial bone, bruised & sore but he’s tough & says he’s fine. Thank goodness for helmets.
