How are you?
On a scale from 1-10, I’m about an 8.5 right now. It rarely gets below a 6 or above a 9.9 though.

What’s new in your life?
Let me get back to you on that one… ha ha!

Where are you right now?
I’m in Long Beach, CA right now. This morning I was home in Chicago and next week I’ll be on Roadfools. I don’t stay still much, ha ha!

What does your average daily routine consist of these days?
I don’t think there is much of an ‘average day’ and I like that but I’d say that most days I’m home I do the following:

1. Make breakfast and coffee
2. Go swim, jog, do something active off my bike
3. Emails
4. Ride
5. Eat again
6. Hang out with my girlfriend Suzanne (not always in that order… plus add in an hour or so of traffic and phone in there).

Tell us something about sandwiches?
Sandwiches? They are nice and I actually found THE BEST sandwich joint in the world. Jerry’s sandwiches on Division and Damen in Chicago. Amazing.

If you have a good sandwich, are you willing to share?
Sure! Take a chomp!

Explain: “Hammersaw”
Sean Burns gets credit for this term that I’ve now made a part of my everyday life. We were on a filming trip last year and we’d roll up to some crazy set up and his first reaction would always be “Hammersaw.” I was stoked on the term because it’s two of the most basic, destructive, bad ass, manly tools on earth (the hammer and the saw) combined into one. I’ve used this metaphor for almost all area’s of life. My girlfriend asked what I thought of her new shoes the other day and I replied “Hammersaw,” meaning they looked good. It’s addictive.

Is there one question people never ask you but you always wish they did?
Hmmm… I’d love if someone asked me, “Brian, would you like to house-sit my beautiful mountainside ranch in New Zealand?”

Tell us something people might not know about you?
They know it all. I’m an open book, ha ha!

What does 2009 have in store for you?
It’s already been a wild beginning to the year with trips to Texas, California, Florida, Thailand, etc, and is only about to get crazier with Roadfools, Etnies trips, DK trips, contests and tons more. I was looking at my calendar today and couldn’t believe how much sweet stuff there is coming up and I didn’t even get past August!
