Beloe Footwear's first range of shoes are soon-to-be available, and included in the range are four very clean and versatile models that work well whether you're riding a bike, walking down the street or dancing at the club.
In case you didn't know, Beloe Footwear is a new brand that launched last Fall. Headed up by Brian Osborne, a veteran BMXer from the Louisville area, along with Russ Pope, a veteran skater/graphic artist from CA, Beloe is a cooperative effort to provide the BMX and skate world with shoes that offer smooth lines and versatility in all walks of life. The complete line of Beloe will consist of signature skate shoes, signature BMX shoes, artist collaborations from both industries, shirts, hats, hoodies, belts and more to come in the future. The BMX team, so far, consists of Jim Cielencki, Nathan Williams, Kevin Kiraly, Sean Sexton and Karl Poynter. But for now, we'll investigate their first range for the Spring 2008.

Oh, and in case you ever wondered about the technical mumbo jumbo, I did some research and got some answers. In regards to outsoles (the bottoms), NBS is a numeric rating of the density and abrasion-resistance that is given to rubber. 400 NBS is the highest grade of rubber that allows a shoe to be flexible and avoid cracking. So you can still feel your pedals, stop on a dime and not feel like you're wearing bricks on your feet. And in regards to midsole, EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. It's used in footbeds for plush, cushiony support. So it means that your feet are being protected from the inside out.
And finally, look for a Jim Cielencki signature shoe from Beloe in the near future as well.
