For as long as I can remember, axles pegs have been constructed of either steel or alloy. There was one Tioga peg in the '80s that was alloy with a rubber cap on the end that spun, but that was about as crazy as axle pegs have gotten since they were introduced over twenty years ago.
The Pleg from G-Sport changes all that though. This revolutionary peg is constructed of a proprietary polymer blend of plastic which allows the peg to slide well on all surfaces, including aluminum, brick and rough concrete. The benefits to this are vast. The peg is park friendly (in case your local park enforces a "No-peg" or "Plastic Peg Only" policy), the peg can grind on more surfaces than steel, the grind is quieter, and just in case you get caught grinding by the police or a security guard, the Plegs do a lot less damage than ordinary steel pegs. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that each Pleg weighs just 4.3 ounces.
The Plegs are sold separately, available with a small steel insert that increases strength at the base, and when you've worn down your Plegs, affordable replacement sleeves are available. Designed for park and light street use. 3-15/16 x 1-5/8". Will not work with 14mm axle nuts that use a 19mm socket.
Lightweight, affordable, quiet, park and private property friendly, available from G-Sport now. Go get em.
