A few weeks ago, HB team rider Brad Simms bike went missing during an airline flight. Upon arriving in NJ for the Red Bull Down and Dirty comp, a call was put in to HB. After a few days, Brad had a new bike, complete with HB everything, including the Hoffman Loyalty frame and Hoffman Buxom bars.
To begin with, the Loyalty frame is the signature frame of Japanese HB team rider Kazuo Okada. Kazuo has been a part of the HB team for over ten years, and this frame's ightweight, sturdy design can withstand the many elements of modern day BMX, from vert to street to park to dirt. It's constructed of 100% 4130 Cr-mo, available in three top tube sizes (20", 20.5", 20.875"), boasts removable brake mounts and cable guides, a 74 degree head tube angle, 13.66" chainstays, a Mid B/B and an integrated headtube with removable gyro tabs. Colors are terra and alabaster white. Weights are 4.9 pounds for the 20" top tube, 5 pounds for the 20.5", and 5.1 for the 20.875". And if it stands up to Brad's riding, it's good enough for anyone.
The Buxom bars are HB's big bars. Available in black, white, stone or terra, they feature an 8" rise, 4.5 degree up sweep and 10 degree back sweep. They're constructed of 11 butted 100% 4130 cr-mo, and weigh in at 1.44 pounds.
