  • MACNEIL FACE PEDALS, COLLIER SEAT, 330 PIVOTAL SEAT POST

  • Macneil and innovation go hand in hand. When Macneil makes a new component, or new anything for that matter, you know it's going to be smart, technologically advanced and something that the manufacturing facility probably said, "There's no way we can make that!"

But if you know Jay or Darcy from Macneil, then you know that they said, "Bullshit" and got to work on figuring out how to make whatever they believe in. And it's this commitment that has given Macneil such a distinctive reputation.

New to the Macneil component line are the F.A.C.E. pedals. They took a solid block of aluminum and CNC'd it into the perfect shape, size and concave. It features eight removable and replaceable traction pins, one bearing and one bushing per pedal, colors in black, orange and white and a weight of 8.3 ounces each. Light, simple and not overdone or tailor made for people with basketball player sized feet. Just a good, clean pedal that works everywhere.

Also new to the Macneil line are some flatland specific parts, including the Travis Collier signature Pivotal seat and the 330 Pivotal seat post. Travis' seat features a hand-friendly under carriage and a great shape for flatlanders, plus it utilizes Pivotal technology. The 330 seat post is a long Pivotal seat post. Flatland frames feature extremely low stand over heights, and this seat post caters to that type of frame, which now also includes some of the newer street frames such as the S&M LAF and Fly Tierra. The 330 post weighs in at 8.3 ounces, and when combined with the Travis Collier seat, the combo weighs in at just over a pound. If you're in the market for a Pivotal post but don't want your seat slammed against the frame, then Macneil's got you covered.
