When we heard the news about Fly Bikes and Chase Hawk joining forces earlier this year it seemed like a no-brainer. With Fly’s history of stylish riders and Chase legendary steeze, it’s a match made in heaven. We thought it’s about time to check out his equally stylish ride…

Fly has always been synonymous with style, much like the name Chase Hawk. How excited were you when the opportunity came to ride for them?

I was very excited to say the least! I’ve known Ruben and Sergio for 20+ years and they’ve always been family to me so it really just felt right when the opportunity arose. Fly has always had a team that I’ve looked up to. Everyone has their own distinct style and brings something completely different to the table. It’s an honor and a privilege to be a part of a company I’ve respected for so long! Looking forward to spending many great years with all of these talented people! Vamos!!!

Cult and Fly both make basically every bike part, besides your signature parts how do you decide which parts to run? (Remember to check the offset on the forks 😉)

It was always known between myself and fly that I would continue to run my signature Cult frame and all the signature parts I have through Cult… IE: bars and cranks.. With that being said All other parts on my bike moving forward will be all Fly. I’m currently running the Fly forks with a 33 mm offset.

Can we expect to see any signature Fly parts in the near future? Maybe another signature front load stem?!

I think my days of the front load stem are over haha but yes you can definitely expect to see some signature fly parts from myself in the future.

Devon and Courage are both insanely good with nose manuals. As the newest Fly team member in the US can we expect to see some nose manual lines anytime soon?

If it requires me going more then 10 feet in distance then it’s probably not likely haha. More then anything I just can’t wait for the opportunity to start traveling with Devon and courage more through fly and start creating more video content for them.

How would you describe your personal bike setup?

Fairly simple and straight forward. Never trying to save weight and generally running a part until it’s worn all the way through or breaks. I love the way a bike feels when everything is broken in. I hate when everything is new haha

Which parts of your bikes are extra picky about?

My bars have to be cut down a little over an inch on each side. I run 180mm crank arms which is something I can’t seem to veer away from. Usually always have a new pair of pedals on my bike because I hate the plastic ones getting worn down.

What parts do you ride the longest?

Tires and grips for sure. Sometimes grips can live on my bike for over a year or so ha.

Any special mods or things you do when building up a new setup?

Yea I take every one of my bikes to Empire to have them build it up so I know I don’t fuck any of it up haha. TB or Hoss dials my bike in every time and I wouldn’t trust anyone else for the job.

Do you have any new signature product or parts dropping this year?

Yes! We’re working on a few different things I’m very excited about & I’m looking forward to showing you all. Without saying too much and giving too much away… The first thing you’ll all most likely see is a seat I’ve been looking to Re-Create for years now! Stoked.

What have you got planned for this year riding wise? What’s next?

Let’s just say I’m currently making room in my yard for something veryyyy special 😈.
