You gotta love the random roadside spots you find on trips. This one wasn't perfect but worked ideal for a few tricks on this trip. Garrett bar ice.

Always deep in thought thinking of the trick possibilities when a spot has much to offer.

I let Nathan Barrow one of my loose (as in was safely keeping it brand new in a box, till one of mine died) point and shoots as he is always taking random images along his travels. And, well... iI want to see more people taking more pictures and less digital images. As I expected in his overall polite southern ways he came to me with “hey ummm, I am really sorry but I kinda scratched your camera”. It looked more like he did a double tire ride to slide into home base with it in his pocket, but hey it still works and now that camera is his!

Honestly at this point when Garrett explains to me what he is doing. I just think of coming from here this side of the frame, trick here, and ending this side of the frame. Then hold that dam button nice and steady whilst bullshitting with friends. Thankfully once again my loose approach worked in favor of this bar to wall to 360 into the bank mid-line. Good thing pictures don’t have sound, as I know I was laughing my ass off watching Nathan push Will on a skateboard to keep up with Garrett and film this line.

I’ll just caption this as I imagine they’re conversations in my head. “Nathan check this spot, this spot and this spot, I just saw around the corner while you and Chad were filming this line” - Garrett . “Wow looks like if Jameson was here he could shit over there while I double tire ride that super sketchy set up” - Nathan. I might be right, but I might be wrong, but that's entertainment in my head.

A person's tools of their trade say a lot about them. Will’s trusty Line camera and his always randomly loaned skateboard. If I showed you Will's mess of a 'three camera bag' set up you’d get a better look at the organized craziness that is Will... next time

Garrett double tire ride to switch 180 bar. This may have looked better long but you know what I'm hitting the damn buttons and I love the way a fish and flashes can help bring out that dusk sky.

One of Montreal’s gems of a spot, a seemingly perfect gap to rail, got sessioned heavy on this trip. Nathan grabbing the first one with this tire ride 180.

Garrett has never stopped amazing me (maybe rather just making me more numb to his madness) this time with a bar to ice on the gap to rail to follow up Nathan.

One thing I have learned from being friends with Garrett for years now is when it comes to wanting to ride a spot.... any means necessary is the way it goes, even if that means heating up the wax to get it just right.

Chad Kerley has to be one of the most entertaining friends to be on a a trip with. Here he is trying to explain how small slither of a cut is like Nathan’s currently scared and bleeding palms hahaha.

The last time I went to Montreal I left with a (still unpaid) ticket and at best 4 photos, so when Will Stroud first mentioned this trip I said "just make sure we have spots and a van", because last time we tried this without a vehicle it was fun, but not the most productive of trips. Luckily this time around despite the cold weather and rain we had some advantages on our side. For one Cinema's secret behind the scenes Canadian weapon Harley Haskett, who is always down to help plan out spots, eat poutine and listen to some good jams. As for the Van well in typical Will fashion when we arrived and I asked about the van he just looked at me and said "yeah, well we got a big SUV that will work". What he really meant was that Harley gets to drive with me giving him shit about everything Canadian while leading the crew spot to spot. See there is always some sort of “by the way” involved.

Now for the rain and cold weather solution. Somehow Will has the best of luck (usually at least), and we ended up with an amazing AIR Bn'B, which included a pool table and a Super Nintendo helping any downtime to go by with a breeze. Couple those few things together, along with the spots and good friends, and things were nothing but up and 'game on' as usual for the Cinema crew.
