Dennis Enarson - Snapshots with Haro in Malaysia

We did a lot of other fun activities on this trip besides riding. This particular day we hit up Malaysia's natural water park. This photo was right before one of the funnest swim sessions of our lives.

The crazy monkey caves. This was the first morning of the first day of our trip. We were brought straight to massive caves filled with monkeys and people from all over the world taking in this unique place.

This was my first time seeing wild monkeys, and they were not the type of monkeys I expected. They were totally used to surviving off the tourist, and really knew how to get their way. If you had food out they knew they could charge you and try and scare you into throwing the food at them, or just dropping it. These dirty little monkeys were hustlers, and knew exactly what they were doing. They were the ones running these caves for sure.

I don't know what it is about Malaysia, but they love building wild parks everywhere. This one was exceptionally insane. It had the massive bowl section with endless lines shown here in the photo, but it also had sweet dirt jumps, a pump track, mountain bike runs, and even some sick street setups thrown around the place for good measures. We made sure to go back to this place more then once to milk all the good times we could from the action sports compound.

Matthias was on a flatland mission. Matthias had just come off of a bad ankle injury so he couldn't do much of his normal street/flatland riding he is becoming really known for. Instead of putting force on his ankle by doing that, he went in on some amazing flat lines. He was really putting in work trying to get crazy links, over and over again. It was a really cool getting to see that side of riding in real life. Matthias is the man!

This was the longest I've ever seen Matthias go in for a clip. Everyone was chilling and Matthias asked Christian if he was down to film something that might take a while. Gallons of sweat and many tries later the clip was pulled, and the French man was exhausted, but so relieved and happy.

I'm pretty sure this guy is the only team manager out there who's taking care of a full team and still able to keep up with the top guys. Colin Mackay might lay low from the spotlight, but when he's made sure everybody is doing good, he's got the photos he needs of the team, and there's nothing left for him to do, he grabs his bike and kills it! It's so fun being able to session with the dude who is running the whole trip. We all can't thank Colin enough for all the work he puts into the company, and all the fun he makes sure we are having on the road.

Flat is huge in Malaysia. Everywhere we went the locals couldn't believe Matthias was there. He always put on a demo and got everyone pumped to ride.

Tyler floats a fat gainer into a small pool of water. These cliff jumps at the water spot were so rad! The water was really deep, and even if you somehow hit the bottom the whole place was filled with soft, sandy floors. It was the sweetest/ safest feeling cliff jumps I have ever been to.

The most interesting skatepark in the world. This was by far one of the most different skateparks I have ever seen. It was almost 100% humidity in the middle of a jungle, monkeys were launching out of the trees while we were riding, and the trannys and the park were built so well, but so wrong. Everything was so smooth and nice, but nothing made any sense at all.

Along with the cliff jumps, there was a natural waterslide! This thing was unreal, you would slide about half way down then get sent into the air to a 15 foot drop! It was mind blowing that this thing just worked out so well. Only in Malaysia...

We googled this place called Monkey beach that was supposedly the 2.5 mile walk through the forest where you pop out onto the beautiful beach filled with monkeys. The hike was out of Jurassic Park, we had the magical beach almost all to our selves, but there were no monkeys, just local kids giving a rabbit a bath. I guess that’s normal out there?

Malaysia was my fourth big over seas trip with Haro, so I knew from experience, that this trip was going to be one to remember. I made sure to bring my trusty Pentax K1000 film camera to try and capture as much of this wild country as I could. The trip was way more epic then I could have ever imagined, and taking pictures of all the wild things in that country was almost impossible. Even remembering to grab my camera was hard because of the nonstop fun we were having out there. I did manage to shoot off a couple roles of film though. All of the photos bring back such good memories from the adventure, but these are some of my favorites...
