The 'Lurkers' video by Peter Adam about the people hanging out at the CPH Gade/Cash up jam says a lot about our own 040 Jam out in Malmö, given how connected the scene in the Öresund region or even Scandinavia is.
Many people from around Sweden, Denmark, Germany and more travel to these latitudes for a couple of weeks to attend these events.
It's a bit of a stressful thing, throwing a jam; picking up spots, dates, plan Bs in case of rain or being kicked out, etc, setting up a flyer, promoting it, hoping it does not collide with other events. Thinking of how many people will join, how many sausages we gotta throw in the grill, will people like the spots?- Until the very morning before the jam starts these doubts are wandering around. There's a humble reminder every year though, it's all about hanging out. It's all about the cheers, the banter besides the spots, the queue to the grill and the laughs.
Jams are fun! And this year we had our own Fabi (also MC'ing the Gade jam in CPH) ending the evening playing live music with Soñar con Muertos alongside Larma bringing the hardcore punk vibes.
Hope these pictures bring up some inspiration to throw a get together wherever you are, or even book yourself a trip to CPH/Malmö next summer! - Agus Glauber
