In Photos - 2019 Vans BMX Pro Cup HB Finale

When it comes to new blood at this event, all I can say is the name, Josh Dove! He surprised most of us with his intensity on the course, finesse and speed all wrapped up together in pure Aussie style!

The awards ceremony got a little slippery, a couple of the winners of the day were drenched in ice cold water. The trophies didn't seem to mind much.

Preston Okert took 2nd place in qualifying and it was a treat to watch his smooth and consistent lines link themselves together all weekend!

The Vans logo sub box was heavily ridden by most and this foot jam was one of the first during qualifying!

One advantage to the course set up this year was the judges towers shaded a large portion of the deck for riders and fans to cool off and wait for their next run!

Mike Payne was a wild one on the course, rocking his American flag helmet and really giving the crowd a good show!

Rob Dolecki is our main man on the ground handling all things video and doing a damn good job of it too!

Jose Cedano was explosive with his energy around the park, tracks at height and touching all walls of the park, he packed his run full of crowd pleasing tricks!

The qualifiers started off with very high energy and you could feel it all around! It was stunted shortly by an unexpected hard slam early on... The Vans medical staff was on hand ready for anything!

Tomas Fuentes carries away the bike that didn't make it... This is what happens when the worst injury of the contest takes place. It's all apart of the battle!

As the qualifiers came to a close, Vans gave out the People's choice award. Dustin Orem is one of those guys that never asks for too much but he has continued to be someone you can count on at almost each and every Vans BMX contest... He is one to lend a hand, fix a flat or even give you some parts off of his own bike to make surre you get to where you need to go! Needless to say, Vans took it upon themselves to honor such a gentlemen! Congrats Dustin!

As the qualifiers end, the sunset practice session began...

Finals day is full of personality and high flying action. Andy Zeiss and Lucha are ready for the day!

Matt Cordova. Out of all the table tops we see all weekend Matt seems to have the snappiest of the bunch! Delivered at height every time!

Jose Torres Gil was one of the stand out riders on the weekend, here he executes a downside whip across the gap.

Rim Nakamura is one of the promising young guns out there already ingrained in BMX at a young age! He went down hard in finals but he was cheering on his fellow riders by the end of the day.

During raddest trick, Jason pulled off this 360 look-back across the vans quarter with barely any room to spare near his back wheel.

Jason Watts is always a pleasure to watch shred apart any transition. This corner pocket blast is superb!

Dennis Enarson just seems to have his own fun on the course regardless of the contest. Dennis rode this logo like it was his own backyard!
