"The BYO (build your own) Fun and the DIY World Championship finals, one of the most prestigious events in all of action sports, went down last weekend. The fifth and final stop, after events in the U.S. and the U.K. took place in the parking lot of Powers Bike Shop, in Richmond Virginia. showcasing some of the worlds most celebrated athletes in BMX and beyond. Riders traveled far and wide to compete in front of a panel of esteemed judges for prizes including a Golden Cinderblock, a Samurai Sword, a 24 karat gold Fender guitar,  a hot dog, a taxidermy 8 point buck, and awards from Profile and FBM. Events included high air, best trick, weirdest trick on a teeter totter, high 5 a cat in a curved wall, handrail challenge, who can build the best ramp, and who can have the most fun." - Steve Crandall
