Jeff Crawn, Beauty Is Everywhere
Life inspiration to kick off your weekend...
3 Dec 2016
For those who aren’t familiar with Jeff Crawn, in the early 90s he was one of the most talented riders out there, and he called the East Coast home. Twenty-three years ago, he was on the verge of becoming well-recognized in BMX when he had a tragic accident that left him paralyzed due to his forks snapping. This video has some words from Jeff that touches on how he turned such a terrible predicament into a positive outlet via nature photography. Jeff's story is inspiring for anyone. You can check out Jeff’s photography at jeffcrawn.com.
On a side note (and this is a personal opinion, not necessarily reflecting the views of DIG), the fact that you still see videos of people snapping their forks clean off today is kind of ridiculous (and it's not by riders jumping off two-story roofs). Why any companies still manufacturing forks that have the potential to seriously injure someone in the name of saving a few ounces or a few bucks in materials is puzzling — please support the companies that put your safety first, and not any trends. — Rob Dolecki
