Bjarki Hardarson – Bjarki got the trip kicked off with a toboggan driveway gap that was just a few blocks from the house. The homeowner was looking out the window the whole time but never said a word.

Matt Ray – Matt sticks a toothpick at “that skatepark” aka Tigard, while the T-Rex looks the other way (anyone remember that Ben Hucke DIG 76 cover?). Matt was quoted as saying “this might be the best concrete park I’ve ever ridden.”

Mark Burnett – Mark was boosting the volcano at Tigard and seemed to be right at home riding everything from transition to street.

Jabe Jones – Jabe was ripping a few different lines at Burnside despite the tight transitions and low rafters.

Matt Ray – Matt was loving the main hip at Burnside and was boosting higher and higher on every run. Here he stretches a can can.

Hutch’s Bicycle Store – Thanks to Chance for putting on the shop event, and thanks to all of the locals that came to hang out with the crew!

Jabe Jones – Jabe may have been nursing a bruised heel, but he certainly didn’t let that hold him back. Griz air with bonus tongue points

Mark Burnett – The waters of the Columbia River in Portland were a welcome swimming spot after a long day of riding.

Bjarki Hardarson – Bjarki made the most of having some extra time before his flight back to Iceland. Smith across the barrier during one of the last sessions of the trip.

Let’s show some love to local bike shops, and get in some riding while we’re at it. The plan was simple but the outcome was distinct. QBP, one of Shadow’s distributors in the US, wanted to bring the Shadow team out to Oregon to support a few shop events and hang out with the local riders. Mark Burnett, Matt Ray, Jabe Jones, and Bjarki Hardarson were all pretty fresh to the Pacific Northwest, which made for a really fun vibe of discovery during the whole visit. Sprinkle in some of the best concrete parks in the country and we were bound to have a good time.
