Larry Edgar is your 2018 Vans BMX Pro Cup world Championship winner! Larry had broken ribs during the Huntington Beach contest in August and still managed to make his way to the points leader for 2018!

Pitu! Pitu! Pitu! That was all you could hear when local rider Pitu hit the course! Definitely a crowd favorite, he showed us all what it means to be number one regional Qualifier of the weekend!

Pitu transfers into the over-vert hook from the far left of the frame during finals, he was truly a treat to watch flow the park!

When Pitu isn't winning over the affections of his local fans, you can find him over at Recyclo Bike shop in Malaga...

Dennis Enarson takes Best Trick this year with a mighty double tail whip transfer into the vert wall extension! Straight up madness!

Dennis Enarson walks away with 2nd place for this years Malaga contest! Dennis rode this transfer like it was nothing, hitting it nearly every run! This can-can transfer couldn't have been any smoother!

The locals from Malaga set up their own stands outside the parks gates with lawn chairs, blankets and coolers full of refreshments! Going crazy all day on Sunday!

Chris James is ridiculous! I don't think he's scared of any height I've seen him travel... Huge Indian-air seat grab during finals!

Chris James was one of the craziest high flyers out there! Wowing everyone with every run, this no handed flip was one of the more chill maneuvers he had in store for us!

Matt Cordova is one of my favorites! Pure BMX plain and simple. Speed, height and tricks for days! Busted knee and all, Matt has battled his was through a wild month abroad and I don't know a tougher dude!?

Jason Watts and Jerry Badders definitely know how to put on some halftime shows thats for sure! Jason tames the wild Bull of Madrid!

Kevin Peraza owns his ability on a bike. All weekend he seems to get more and more comfortable with the park, this superman seat grab is full blown!

Sem Kok held it down with nothing but high speed all weekend! Blasting huge goodness like this even though Steve Crandall was ringing in his ear the whole time!

Jayden Mucha is only 16 years old and this kid means business. This flip whip wasn't the only thing he blasted that surprised most!

Corey Foust flew all the way from Austin, Texas to join his fellow tranny shredders to session some of the best concrete Spain has to offer! It's Corey's first time in Europe and he is loving it!

Boyd Hilder hails from Australia and gives team AUS a good name, always riding super well and his night time antics make him a pure jokester!

Alex Vela is another one of the youngest kids riding in the event and he was swinging with the best of them! Tuck no hander pocket extension transfer!

Maxime Charveron is such a savage! He takes this pocket transfer to new levels by inverting all the way into the back wall from the farthest tranny in the right corner of the frame!

Corey Walsh proved to me this weekend that he is one of the baddest muthrfkrs out there! All eyes on Corey as he wins the third place on the weekend and best line! Always Fast & Loose and always having a great time!

They don't make many BMXer's like this anymore, the Brazilian madman cleared the biggest gap I witnessed all weekend... But here in finals he came up a little short and his front wheel found the hole!

Rim Nakamura is such an amazing young talent out of Japan! 16 years young and full speed he blast tricks higher than most and during one run he had his bars move three times, not slowing him down at all!

You can't have a Vans contest without a proper Eisa Bakos sighting!

Chase Hawk soars some style right here to start out his run on Sunday, returning with last years win under his belt Chase was looking ready to go!

Skate Snacks was the official food and refreshment bar for the whole weekend of events for us here at The Vans BMX Pro Cup in Malaga! Located on the grounds of the Ruben Skatepark, we were treated with great food, beer, cafe con leche and music well into the wee hours of the night!

After finals on Sunday, Skate Snacks threw us a party with free beers all night long!

As this year's Vans BMX Pro Cup Series comes to a close with the series finale in Malaga, Spain, we here at DIG couldn't be more pleased with what this contest series has brought to the table! With all the love, support and organization from VansBMX this contest has set the stage for the world's best riders to come together and showcase their top notch riding for the world to see. Throughout 2018, thousands of fans have gathered along the sidelines to witness BMX madness from all over the world, including stops in Australia, California, Mexico and lastly here in Malaga!
