Much loved Santa Cruz, California, local Andy Maguire hit us with a new edit and reflections on the last decade—significant life changes in 2025 which brought one chapter of life to a close and the beginning of another. 

"The short answer is that this was a collection of footage, mainly from 2025, with a few other clips sprinkled in that hadn’t been released yet. Two big things happened that year for me: I quit a job that I had been working at for almost 10 years and I turned 40 in December. It was sort of an end of an era, as I remember starting the job when I was 29, with so much enthusiasm and appreciation for a good paycheck and benefits. But a lot can happen over the course of a decade. I got married, had a kid, had parents and loved ones pass away, a global pandemic, sobriety… a lot of highs and lows.  Through it all, my priorities started to change and the steady paycheck wasn’t as fulfilling, and the nagging feeling that I was missing out on important parts of my life kept growing stronger.  So going into level 4, my family decided to bet on ourselves.  Throughout this shake up though, riding BMX has consistently been a way to cope with frustration, set new goals, experiment with new ideas, and take calculated risks. All this will come in handy for this next chapter, and I’m forever grateful for my family, friends and community that support me on and off the bike. It’s been a good decade, and on to something new.
