Luckily Bruno was in town the same week as us so we got to witness some feeble to hard 180s and also the results of his hilarious relationship with relentless older brother, Dan Lacey. I've never seen two people who can wind each other up so easily with only a look.

Ed also got down on the Monroe rail with this ice to bar, before hitting the pop-up bar Ralph created to the left.

This spot is such a classic, it even makes you feel like you've been there before it's that familiar. Nathan lost some shoes in the process but this high speed gap over oppo pegs to oppo hard 180 had the crew go crazy once it went down.

We'd wanted to see Ed Zunda do this for a while and he pulled the cat out of the bag in NYC, and threw the thing across the room in the shape of a uprail to hard 360 turndown. Zunda is too good…

I can't begin to tell you how fucked this was in person… seeing Nathan's blast at this thing, entangling himself a few times in the fence was something else. This was just one of the many times filmer Rich Forne entered the 'Danger Zone' and came out dizzy after a stray bouncing bike.

The other side…

Animal owner and godfather, Ralph Sinisi has to be one of the most fun tour guides possible. There's never a dull moment, especially when he's doing stuff like this.

There's nothing quite like it... New York City is undeniably one of the loudest and brashest cities in the world; you've got to go there to feel it for yourself. There's a raw power that seems to surge through the streets and its inhabitants, some kind of inextirpable stalwartness. Needless to say, when the email went out announcing the Big Apple as one of the locations for Above Below the crew were beyond excited. I didn't see it, but I can only imagine the look on Jay Bean's face when he stepped off the plane... As a tourist the place is a must-see, but as a BMXer it's got to be right up there. With the help of Jeff Kocsis, Ralph Sinisi and Hoder we managed to get the full experience, gun shots and close calls included. The full package you could say. We really couldn't thank those guys enough for everything they did for us that week. You've probably seen the video by now, so get a closer look at what we got up to in the city that never sleeps.
