The news of Dave Mirra's passing has hit our community hard and left us pretty much stunned into silence. Dave will be fondly remembered forever as one of the most influential riders BMX has ever witnessed; not only within our world but outside of it too. He has brought BMX to mainstream attention arguably more than any other rider. (At the time of writing this tragic news is the most read story on the BBC website). Although we never got to photograph him outside of the contest arenas as much as we would have liked, here's a selection of images from the pages DIG over the years that we're very proud of. Our thoughts are with Dave's family and friends at this very difficult time. RIP Miracle Boy.
