In 1992, the 900 block of W. 9th Street in downtown Austin, Texas, was an overgrown city park with seemingly nothing to offer. A lone BMXer shaped a single pile of dirt into a small jump, and unbeknownst to him a DIY BMX movement was started.
Within a few years the single tabletop transformed into a set of trails known simply as “9th Street.” By 2002, the trails were a BMX Mecca that helped put Austin on the map as a must-travel destination for riders the world over, as seen in the pages of @DIGBMX and beyond.
@Handrail_Media is proud to announce the story of one of the most famous sets of trails on the planet, “9th Street The Documentary” drops HERE January 13th 2024. Visit 9thstreetdoc.com
