"Jared Eberwein, while on a recent getaway with his wife for a long weekend in Hawaii, brought his bike for one, single, 3 hour session at Koko Head Bike Park. This area is a park with many field amenities, and this little dirt jump spot on the side ended up gaining enough traction for the locals to take it further. Meaning, their efforts and commitment paid off as this spot was finally deemed a public bike park. They’ve been granted permission to progress on the spot -- building more, building better, and of course making it suitable for all levels of riding. It's maintained by honorable locals, no actual city/state workers. Such an incredible place! Another notable fact -- this place is next to a shooting range. Which is the ONLY public one on the island of Oahu, and only open on the weekends. So from 9am till close, it’s nonstop gunfire.
