TAJ MIHELICH - DIG 'FRAGMENTS'
Episode 1
18 Nov 2024
Filmed and edited by Sandy Carson | The DIG X ETNIES collection is out available NOW
In the early years of DIG, Taj Mihelich’s commanding style produced some of the most influential photos printed in the magazine. And as the years progressed, Taj’s life work as a BMXer, artist, and writer grew alongside our fledgling publication. From his early days on a prototype Standard to Road Fools to his years as a pro with etnies and Terrible One, Taj’s riding career was mirrored on the pages of DIG.
Recently, DIG photographer and one time etnies team mate, Sandy Carson sat down with Taj to discuss what many refer to as a golden era of BMX. We chatted about his relationship with DIG, filming for the seminal etnies ‘Forward’ video, and traveling the world competing in ground-breaking contests like Backyard Jam. If you’re anything like us, watching Taj, and the rest of the etnies team, in the ‘Forward’ video changed your whole concept of what was possible on a bike and what the BMX community could offer your outlook on life. Welcome to the first episode of DIG ‘Fragments’.
Look out for more episodes and extras coming soon.
