Why your frame? For me, 21.25 has always been my top tube. Mine is about 14.25 in the back, which is really long by today’s standards. And a 74 degree head tube which is a little slower than most bikes. My rational is when you are going faster you don’t want a twitchy frame, and I’m not doing nose manuals. (Laughter)

You’ve had this bike for a while? This bike is almost two years old. I broke my foot, so there was a couple of months in the summer where I didn’t ride at all. Then with school, I haven’t been going on trips. I feel like trips are when your bike gets really abused.

How long do you usually have a bike for? Usually nine months to a year. I’ll try to have my bike similar to the new run of complete bikes.

Has school been cutting into your riding time? I’ve signed up for seven years, and I’ve done three so far. The thing with riding, I can’t really go on week-long trips, and try to fit it in when I can. This semester I had a really good schedule where I coiuld hit the skatepark before class, or after, where I can sneak in an hour or two here and there. Showing up for class sweating and with a bloody shin; that happened one day. I was like, “Oh, this sucks.” (laughter) School definitely takes up a lot of time, so you just got to be better about managing it and getting the riding in when you can. I have the summer off now.

What plans do you have? Just want to hit the trails up as much as possible. There is some newer concrete I’ve been hearing about within three hours away, so I’m going to do some day trips.
